Wool Fair in Grimaud

Existing for several centuries, the Fair of Wool is a traditional festival taking place on Thursday of the ascent.
The program of this bucolic day: a market with stalls more colored of each other, to the perfumes of our dearest Provence, to the homemade products and sincere smiles. After tasting different specialties and buying a few finds, you can enjoy the animations and demonstrations of the crafts of yesteryear such as the shepherd, the duck dresser, but also the spinners throughout the day.
Creative workshops working with clay, wool and other materials will delight young and old alike.
To feast and fascinate the children, there is the possibility to feed the animals of the mini farm, installed by the Relay of the Mene, but also the opportunity to play the gigantic wooden games, arranged on the Place.
Traditionally, after the Mass given in the Church of Saint Michael, the Escandihado folk group will give the Provençal tone with their dances punctuated by drummers, and embellished with the peculiar sounds of fifes and galoubets.
This will follow the traditional glass of friendship offered by Grimaud Animations.
Finally, a life-size exhibition of urban knitting will be installed in the main square of Grimaud. The stated goal is to color the streets of the village of
Knits and other original and playful calico, adorning the monuments, the trees, the fountains of festive clothes ...
A thread woven, or rather knitted, by people passionate about the arts
Manuals, and the intergenerational link is created between local associations, municipal services, nursing homes and schools.
