The Pierredon trail is one of the 3 paths that take you to the Pont des Fées.
Ideal for a nature walk surrounded by tranquillity and soothed by the sound of the river, or the trees rustling in the breeze.
In the heart of the Massif des Maures, the Pierredon is an evergreen trail. In spring, wild flowers add to the decor, while the autumn landscape is dotted with fungi enjoying the gentle dew that settles at the end of the day.
River La Garde
The river that runs alongside the path used to be home to three watermills that provided flour for the local population.
When rain swells the river and the water rushes furiously to the sea, it’s easy to see why this was a strategic site.
On the way
Continue walking and you’ll come across an old 18th-century farmhouse and some olive groves. You’ll also see the old footbridge which, some time ago, would have taken you across the river.
