1/ St Michael’s Church :
Magnificent church of Roman Provençal style (end of the

2/ Rue du balladou (balladou means «small ball» in
Provençal) :
None of the streets of Grimaud has the name of a

3/ The Castle (magnificent point of view) :
The site overlooking the plain was doubtlessly frequented
since the antiquity. In the 11th Century
appeared the first mention of a castrum (fortified
housing). The current big wall of the 13th-14th
Centuries sheltered the village. The castle was extended
with the passing centuries. Important families
succeeded each other as the counts of Provence, the
families Cossa or Castellane.
